The conception of the world constitutes a system of points of view and representations about nature, society and thought; it is constituted by philosophical, political, social, ethical, aesthetic, scientific, legal and other ideas and concepts about objective reality. Because of this, it constitutes a powerful instrument.

The basis of the scientific conception of the world is the system of scientific knowledge, not as a simple sum of these, but interrelated with the essential motives of personality, which are carriers of an emotional charge, which is expressed in the reflections product of the personal development of the subject; These personal elaborations manifest themselves as convictions and, in general, in the attitude of man towards the world. The work that is presented has among its objective the formation of scientific knowledge, as well as the formation of the scientific conception of the world.

Biology favors scientific-technical and polytechnic-labor education, by developing skills and abilities for biological work and its application in production and life, of importance in vocational training and professional orientation. It allows students to relate to the work deeds of men, who subordinate their activity to the interests of society.

Biological knowledge, in general, offers multiple possibilities to highlight the justness of moral principles, the responsibility of man for the protection of flora and fauna and the biosocial nature of human reproduction.

In this sense, the discipline must contribute to the sexual education of children and young people on an authentically scientific basis, in correspondence with moral values. It establishes a clear, precise, close and enjoyable language that, without losing scientific rigor, allows teachers to appropriate the necessary theoretical-conceptual base through the figures and tables. We hope that the work contributes to strengthen the theoretical model of the biology discipline in general polytechnic and labor education. We would appreciate all the contributions that you can make us, in turn, to improve this didactic tool.

Through this book you will obtain knowledge about a series of chemical elements, that by means of the chemistry and the use of formulas we will be able to determine their behavior when being alone and also when being together with another element.

In the same way that biology contributes to the formation of the scientific conception of the world, it has a fundamental meaning in cognitive development. Biological excursions and practical work in contact with nature, as well as knowledge of hygienic measures, contribute to the physical education of students. Taking into account the above, biology must include a system of knowledge and skills essential and useful in social life (theoretical core), which contributes to the integral formation of the personality of the student. From the analysis of the topics presented and taking into account the experience of the authors of this material in which it forms part of the system of fundamental knowledge and skills, the most general theses or conceptions, called governing ideas, are established. with the programming axes of biology. The guiding ideas reflect the generalizations that express the knowledge system and working methods of the biological sciences, which can serve as a valuable document for teachers, leaders and researchers.

FOREWORD

The mission of the subject of Techniques of Oral Expression, also known as Spanish Literature in other places, is to contribute to the integral development of students, by promoting their knowledge and appreciation of the masterpieces of universal literature, and the development of his cognitive competence – communicative and sociocultural.

It also focuses on the development of the compression and construction of texts and the improvement of the four linguistic macro abilities: hearing, speaking, reading and writing, for which students are trained in the use of the language of the different contexts. Similarly, the subject should favor the development of skills for the independent study of students, so that priority will be given to methods that encourage the search for information and problem solving.

The authors of this work have prioritized, from the didactic, the creation of conditions to read and construct texts, as well as to perceive the potential that the seventh art offers, as a motivation in the art of building new knowledge, orally or in writing.

Elementos de álgebra lineal y geometría del plano para ingenieros

The work presented is aimed at developing students’ abilities and skills in basic topics of linear algebra and plane geometry. That they promote the development of logical-algorithmic reasoning, facilitating the understanding that the theories and methods of mathematics allow to formulate models for the interpretation and solution of problems: of life in society, the productive activity and to minimize the subjectivity in the taking of decisions.

The book presents the particularity that is constructed without following the historical development that originated the linear algebra. It presents sets of mathematical objects that when structuring them by defining operations among their elements, show that they satisfy properties and behave in a similar way independent of their nature. The exercises and problems of application are conceived, through the study of cases. Generalizing at the end of each topic procedures that can attack the largest number of cases. That is, through induction-deduction.

The work is aimed at students who receive the topics presented in the curriculums of engineering careers and teachers who teach the topics presented. We would be grateful to everyone who submits suggestions and observations. That allow to enrich the work to new editions.

Mathematics is the oldest science, born in the dawn of human civilization under the influence of growing practical, social, scientific and technological needs.

The logical-historical study of the development of Mathematics shows that it defines a harmonious logical-abstract system capable of integrating the set of scientific-technological systems defined by other sciences (natural, technical, social). Mathematics has to do with two central issues that legitimize their presence in the curricula and therefore their study: First, the function that mathematics in the explanation of reality, for which humanity in the object of social appropriation and cultural reproduction within the framework of specialized institutions and, second, the specific nature of their study.

The skills and abilities to be developed in Mathematics are distributed in three domains of human activity: life in society, productive activity and subjective experience. Why the scientific community (Mathematicians, Psychologists, Pedagogues and Mathematical Educators, etc.) is faced with complex questions: For whom do you teach mathematics? What Mathematics Teach? How to teach Mathematics? How to learn Mathematics?

Since the dawn of history, man has made his instinct of conservation a platform for defense against bodily injury; such an effort was probably initially personal, instinctive – defensive. Thus was born Security, reflected in a simple individual effort rather than in an organized system. The first references that have about the study of risks date back to the 4th century ANE, Hippocrates (the father of Medicine) makes mention of ailments present in occupations of the time recommended to the miners the use of hygienic baths in order to avoid the saturation of lead. Plinio the Elder (DNE starts) discover diseases among the miners and points out some elements of personal protection such as masks made with animal bladders. In the second century DNE Galeno mentions some occupational diseases in workers of the islands of the Mediterranean. Also Plato and Aristóles studied certain physical deformations produced by certain occupational activities, raising the need for their prevention. With the French Revolution, security corporations were set up to protect artisans, the economic base of the time.

FOREWORD

Research related to the teaching-learning process of the subject Mathematics, show, with concrete examples, that there is an important gap between the mathematics that are explained in school and those that people do in their daily lives. The existence of this gap is one of the reasons that explain the negative attitudes that many people develop towards mathematics.

The authors of this valuable work, with enough experience as active teachers in the different subsystems of Education, say Middle Level, Upper Middle, Adult Education and in Higher Education, have devoted considerable efforts to making teaching and learning Mathematics, a manipulable process. In this context, they have seen the need to extend the framework of Mathematics as part of the culture to theoretical-practical positions, as a more synthetic expression of the integration and interaction of its content, as well as the need to deepen the logical rigor, in the understanding, without contrasting this to the operative and manipulative aspects of the mathematical content.

In this direction, we propose this course of Basic Mathematics, based on Volumes I and II of Elements of Basic Mathematics for university careers, with a didactic approach, clear, precise, direct, unambiguous language, with various examples solved and proposed exercises that they will allow the identification of the evolutionary transition of the students with a lasting learning and, consequently, to diminish the dropout or the abandonment of the studies considering that the Mathematics subject constitutes a barrier.
